Penguins geriatric home and away series needs a day break in between games

First 7500 fans in attendance get a bobblehead of a moment most probably won't even know of...

Penguins 23-28-9
Flyers 26-26-7

How many GDTs do we need for a game that no one will watch because the team is an embarrassing dumpster fire?

Three pieces of bad news (well, except maybe for Ned starting -- may as well continue to tank with him instead of destroying the younger goalie's confidence even further).

And even the 4th item is bad news for whoever is called up from a playoff-caliber AHL team to be Sullied for 5 minutes on the 4th line or spend 60 minutes in the press box.

EDIT: It's probably just going to be Nieto anyway unless waivers means he MUST report to WBS -- so who cares.

Fair but I feel like hockey not as much. I don’t think Sid and Geno are geared up.

90% of the NFL and like a 100% of combat sport athletes are.
Yeah agree about hockey to an extent (if you’re on the outside a bit trying to get into nhl lineups your incentive is even greater) although I’m sure they are always looking for anything that provides quicker recovery.

If there’s money involved most chances say the person has to jump on some form of PEDs.

And yeah other sports going to be rampant, Olympics, cycling, strength sports, whatever. Just wish they’d inform kids in school prior to jumping into sports.

What a quitter Bunting is. I remember when hockey players played an hour after getting a lobotomy.

I mean, I wish him a quick recovery and obviously there is no rush to come back to this trainwreck.

The only neutral viewers who would tune in should be those in search of sitcom-ish excitement.

Yeah if people understand the risk I don’t care what they do. I just wish there is some recognition that things really aren’t equal.

Like, I'm okay with say Bonds Sosa McQuire going to HoF. Because everyone was doing it, they just did it bigger. And it would be cool if that wasn't the trend...

BUT franchises that sink $250+mil into a guy, are gonna want that guy out there doing the thing, so they aren't a neutral party that is thinking for the players' well-being. You gotta perform. And you're gonna find an advantage.

And it you're a young athlete going against 10k+ for a shot at the bigs, you're going to be tempted to get that edge.

Natural talent will only work for a few.

... Screw ovi though, lol
