I'm also amused that people keep trying to put dancing at a wedding on the same level as being able to skate and get beat around by other players. Yeah boy those are one and the same.
This isn't workmans comp or FMLA it does not work anywhere remotely close to the same and does not follow the same rules. And yeah dancing at a wedding would void any workers comp suit I would assume. I’ve seen people lose a case for out gardening. That’s not dancing around. That’s a lot less body stress. If you can dance you must be awfully limber.

Also there is a huge difference in getting beat around by NHL players when you are 27 years old and when you are getting close to your mid 30's. There is a reason guys start dropping out of the league at around that age.
Whether he was worth the money he signed for doesn't matter, the fact is someone agreed to it and it is what he is owed unless they can prove he broke his contract. Whether you like the player or not has no bearing on the CBA or contract law.
I know he’s obviously entitled to it for signing the contract I’m just saying I’m sure he sleeps well at night knowing he didn’t earn it is all.
