Unfortunately some players visibly show how dependent they are, needing that extra second you get in other leagues. That extra second that just doesn’t exist in the NHL.

He’ll be a great SHL player when it’s time to go home. Until then, he’ll be a really productive AHL player.

OR, the Phantoms are preparing for the AHL playoffs while the Flyers are playing out the rest of the season.

If he's on the clear day roster and eligible for the AHL playoffs, it's this. Preds did the same recently with Bellows and Del Gaizo. The thinking is that nobody is wasting their last roster moves right now on gap-filler players with 5-6 games left in the season.

Lycksell is 25, he doesn't need AHL development time, he needs to be on the Flyers. We need to look at everyone 25 and under and figure out if they belong.

And it's not like anyone's watching the Phantoms. I get emails from something called Flo or whatever it is. They wanted me to pay more for the AHL season than I paid for the NHL package.

Lycksell doesn't need AHL development time himself, no, but he's the leading scorer for the Phantoms and they'll be playing a play-in series in the AHL playoffs soon, and every extra playoff game they play is that much more experience for the players down there who DO need more AHL development time.

Flo sucks ass. AHL TV used to let you purchase single games. Flo wants the entire season and all at once
