I’ve always liked this player, is he a AAAA guy?

His short stint with the Bruins, I always thought he was pretty decent. Seemed like a solid 4th line guy. Considering he can't stick, I guess there's more that meets the eye.

Most vets that get called up from the AHL are usually JAGs but Tony Dick stood out to me more positively than usual.

I agree, has some nice speed and skill, wouldn’t mind my team having him in the fold.

Keep Tony Dick in the show.

He’s paid 500 k in the AHL and $775 k in the NHL…

So averaged out he’s @ just over $600 k for the year.

He’s 28 and signed for same amount next year..

Last 3 years he’s roughly a point per game player in the AHL…

A forward thinking team that’s not in the playoffs should pick him up and let him play out the season on their NHL roster.

He would then be a signed depth point per game player for their next years AHL team.

As at the beginning of the season he most likely would pass through waivers easily.

Do your summer July 1 st free agent depth AHL ppg player shopping now.

my guess is that teams think he doesn’t play the kind of game they want on the 4th line and they also don’t think he’s a top 9 guy in the NHL

I honestly think he just needs a legit chance on a bad team but he’s 28 so he may be getting too old to get that chance

To me he’s a legit NHLer. Fast as hell with some skill

If he were 6'2 perhaps.

So happy to see he found a way to elevate his career like he has. In Nashville, although he got a couple games, I think he was never seen as a real prospect, or more than sort of a middle-lineup AHL guy. Since we cut him loose, he has indeed turned himself impressively into that kind of AAAA player who is actually a top line AHL player and semi-productive in NHL cameos. I though he'd have vanished to a second tier European league long ago. But he found a way. Love to see it.
:handclap:
