Simmons suggest that Mrazek may be out until the new year.SIMMONS: Gamble on Mrazek paying no dividends for Maple Leafs | Toronto Sun
This will go over well.
The original signing thread. More than a few comments spot on regarding injury.

I guess you need to be below average to see the dividends the signing has provided. In Dubas world you come to praise Dubas, not to bury him.
So by this logic, Carolina were idiots for signing Andersen - and for even more money too! They should have understood why Carolina didn’t want him back, which was for similar reasons the Leafs soured on Frederik Andersen.

Unfortunate early season injury for the Leafs 1B goalie?
Mrazek isn't a backup goalie. He's a tandem goalie, and his cap hit was reasonable. The signing wasn't just for the 1st month of the season, so it's quite premature to be making claims about the value received from that signing. And ignores that Campbell has done excellent in his place, as the other half of the tandem that Dubas brought in.We already know that he got hurt.
The article is about the value Dubas' signing has brought to the team.
I can see why Dubas fans may not want to talk about it but unfortunately it will have to be.
$3.8M is expensive for a backup goalie, as is, nevermind for a chronically injured one.
Not sure but the scrambling to come to his defense makes for some entertaining time wasting in my office.Excellent use of $3.8m in cap space that Dubas scraped up and for 3 years. Seriously, how do these guys keep their jobs ??

He’s played 5 periods in the first dozen games due to what isn’t a career threatening injury, let’s slow the roll on the hyperbole of immovable contracts. Did you see what other goalies signed for this off-season?Mrazek is a 3.8M cap hit for another 2 seasons after this one. And it's already looking like a dead weight contract.
The leafs will have to do some cap-gymnastics if they have to sign Campbell to a big contract
Now do this for the other 31 teams (remove their top 2 goalies)If Campbell gets hurt for any length of time, the season is over and we can go winter golfing and look forward to the 2022 draft.
True, but not all teams have top 2 goalies with a long history of injury problems like ours do....Now do this for the other 31 teams (remove their top 2 goalies)
David AyresLet me play Flyers advocate here and ask who would yall like to target on the goalie market to usurp Cambell?
Ryan Miller?
Mrazek will get er done in the new year. Timothy Liljegren for PM and things.
Maybe he didn't know. He does have a history of appearing like he isn't aware of what is going on.True, but not all teams have top 2 goalies with a long history of injury problems like ours do....
Dubas knew that signing Mrazek was a risk and now the signing isn't looking to great.
Do people that say stuff like this realize that David Ayres has a 4.18 GAA and 0.800 SV%?David Ayres![]()
Pretty much every goalie is a walking injury, better to have two so hopefully ones ready to go as opposed to relying on one guyTrue, but not all teams have top 2 goalies with a long history of injury problems like ours do....

It was obviously a joke. Lighten up just a little bit.Do people that say stuff like this realize that David Ayres has a 4.18 GAA and 0.800 SV%?
Defending Dubas every move is serious businessIt was obviously a joke. Lighten up just a little bit.

Yes but can he drive a Zamboni?Do Leaf fans realize that Mrazek's Leafs stats are 4.20 GAA and .877 sv% and both had 1 win?
