I thought the PP looked more effective last night as well. Cameron has really improved at walking the line and getting low shots through to the net, which in turn opens up some nice passing opportunities. He also working the "sling shot" zone entry better than most of our D in current memory (by which I mean he's not forcing the drop pass every. single. time. like so many do, if he sees the opportunity to carry it in himself, he's taking it). If he can continue these positive steps in his development, hopefully he can somewhat rebuild his NHL draft stock.

They are still rolling out the 1A/1B power plays so far but I wonder if at some point we see something like:

Unit A
Point - Cameron
Shooters/Side Wall - Taylor, Fitzgerald
Bumper - Young
Net Front - McCallum

Unit B
Point - Matejicek
Shooters/side wall - Melee, Bryant
Bumper - McIntyre
Net Front - Addy

----
but maybe that's largely me wanting to see what that Unit A would look like and then also having a safer veteran unit.

I noticed Crombie's celebration as well, I thought he might actually get an unsportsmanlike penalty but in typical OHL fashion, instead of calling the actual penalty, the referee went over to him and told him not to do it again... I thought the officiating was worse than usual in general last night (Reid, so no shocker) but not in either team's direction or any way that impacted the outcome of the game.
Officiating was equal. If they reviewed Parish’s hit he would have got 5 and a game for a clear elbow to the head

Wonder what the condition is. Interesting for Brampton I thought they’d aim higher for a OA but maybe this is just until the deadline I know they’ve been dealing with a lot of guys in and out of the lineup probably needed a body and will see how he fits first

I’m sure the starting goalie selection fired the boys right up. Great way to motivate this group. So happy we kept this brick wall over Lee-Stack.

That was a full 60 minutes. Really happy with that game. Johnston had a great start. Love the relationship between Rye and Johnston. Reminded me a bit of Swayman and Ullmarks relationship with Boston. But that was a good effort by the Petes tonight which had some great structure.

But on a different note, why would Addy and Cameron be shootout shooters? Like come on Rob you can’t be serious

Carson Cameron when Rob Wilson called on him to shoot in the shootout:

Watched the 3rd, OT and shootout. Johnston looked good. That breakaway chance in OT he saved was nice. Typical outcome for this season, though. Tonight will be tough. Has North Bay changed up their style, or do they still play Stan Butler hockey? If so, it'll be a dull one to sit through tonight, because we know the Petes play Rob Wilson hockey.

They don’t play that style anymore.
