I simply don't enjoy watching this team win.

They are the most unlikable Penguins team I have ever watched.... surpassing last years team which had been the most unlikable Penguins history for over a year....

This organization (sully) loves nondescript players that excel at nothing.

Dubas, let me help you do your job. From this point forward, any player you add to the roster should excel with at least one attribute. Skill, Speed, Shot, Physicality. Players that are meh in everything... avoid like the plague.

Sully has finally accomplished his goal of having a roster that resembles his pathetic NHL playing career. Mike Sullivan is everything that is or ever was bad in hockey. The fact that he had an 11 year professional career as a hockey player tells you that allot of crappy players go into coaching and live vicariously through plug players that have no business anywhere near the profession.

Andy... Can I sue FSG/Mario & Sully for emotional damages?

One of Sid's better games this year. +3, 66% CF, 2 assists, 88% xGF

That Malkin line was a massive liability. 17% CF. And yet they get like 14mins together at 5v5.
I understand that you wanna give Tomasino a proper first game, but the different standards among players is crazy on this team.
Geno was horrific in this one outside of that assist.

To be fair, Geno is playing with trash (no, I am not excited about Tomasino), while Sid’s line was stacked. Both guys had about equal seasons so far, but Sullsma can’t resist the chance to saddle Geno with third line wingers whenever he gets the opportunity.

The amount of people upset about a win is insane to me. They’re not very good, they’ll lose plenty. You’re cooked as a sports if you’re worrying about lottery positioning in November guys. Like tell yourself “oh Karlsson getting points makes him flippable” or something

That Malkin line got caved in but I liked what I saw from Tomasino. Hope he can find a fit there with Malkin, they need someone playing better than Bunting on LW for that line.

I really like the 3rd line with Lizotte centering it. I don't think he's necessarily an "ideal" 3C caliber player, but he's had success in that role before. I'd like it if their 3rd line was O'Connor-Lizotte-Puljujarvi.

Bunting is a quality winger. We're just getting the worst year of his career atm, unfortunately. Better lately though. 6 points in last 11.
Think he needs to be separated from Malkin. Those two together get caved in analytically a lot.
They were a great pair last year, but for whatever reason this year it's a 180.

Don't get why he hasn't been tried with Sid yet, to see if you can get him going. That should have been the first thing they attempted to get him traction early in the year, before things got too bad.

Well it's the reality of the position they're in, right? It's not a fun period in Pens hockey, and it's exhausting for many to pretend like it is, for the sake of people in denial.
Wins unfortunately hurt more than help, as much as we're programmed to enjoy them.
The route back to a Cup is through the prospect pool.

Since they're definitely not making the playoffs, the focus goes to what else they can do this year to set themselves up for the future.
This is about a lot more than draft lottery positioning. They gotta make big decisions on EK, Rust, Rakell, Petts, Jarry, Bunting, Ned... Maybe Graves gets unloaded with a sweetener.
McGroarty's supposedly on the block in an attempt to get Jiricek. Lots of interesting decisions coming.

Dubas is really gonna be tested from here to the deadline and next summer.

Only a total rebuild is in the cards. By total meaning keep the younger assets here with exception of Petts who can be moved as he has value. Off season is fire sale but not give aways. Rust and Karlsson have real value here. Jarry will have 3 years left a 5 million per. Maybe someone takes a flyer on that. Graves is going to be harder with that term. But may have to live with him as a 3rd pairing guy with a new head coach who tells him play better or ride the busses in WB. New head coach and staff will not accept soft play and players who don't play hard. It starts at the top and FSG has to grasp this product stinks.

Why on earth should I be excited about wins? The only way things change for the better in the long run is if the team gets embarrassed one too many times for the Dubas and the owners to tolerate Mike "I was a good coach under the Obama administration" Sullivan. Seeing Liverpool FC being a juggernaut under their new coach makes the situation even more irritating and perplexing.

Mind you, I wouldn't say that I am upset by the win, but I would have preferred a loss.

It is positively amazing how many guys come here and have a career-worst year, lol.

No amount of losses is going to make Sullivan get fired. He only gets fired when the core turns on him, which they love him.

Hoping for this team to lose is shitty.

Dear Coastal Kev,

Please take this Thanksgiving break to read up on the exceptional skills of all Penguins players related to their magnificent proficiency on the PK. They lead the league in sticktoitivness, playing the PK the right way. Do not let their 15th ranked PK blind you to the fact that they are all exceptionally skilled and magnificent on the PK.

Look who Geno is playing with…two borderline NHL players…why do we have to set up our forward lines to have one legit NHL line and the rest garbage? Geno needs a forechecker like DOC or PoolParty if he’s going to babysit Tomasino….

When they started Silovs, and I saw his stats, I was wondering if we somehow paid the Canucks to start him.

When we were up 5-1, I was wondering I was watching another version of the Mike Tyson v Jake Paul fight.

Then when it was 5-4 and almost a tie game, it all started making sense. Our D looked normal, Jarry looked normal, all was good again. We are the poster child of "no lead is a safe lead" for the NHL!

The optimist in me hopes they can build on this and get some confidence....
