Agreed. Olympics when NHL players can play is all I care about.

I couldn't tell you 2018 and 2022 what happened.

I respect your take and it's not wrong to have that opinion.
For me I like watching good hockey and if we get a bunch of really good players with a country specific spin, all the better. It's like Olympics-lite for me

When they traded Jake and refused to fire a coach that continues to lose that sends a message to the fans. Which is we are not trying to win on any given night. Yeah, the fans that pay for tickets aren’t going to appreciate that.

The only way you can blame the core is if they’re the ones keeping Sully here but ultimately we don’t know that.
Yep, it creates a "They clearly don't care, so why should I?" type of situation.

We'll see how good it is. It's a one off tournament with no tradition, history, or prestige crammed in middle of an already brutally long NHL season with only 2 days of practice that excludes some of the best hockey countries. I could very easily see this being a glorified exhibition where the main goal is to not get hurt so that you don't hurt your NHL team.

I'm going to seriously LMFAO if Parssinen becomes a Pen. I mean, in a vacuum I like the player just fine. But taking on another reclamation project from a team that's a total cluster f***?

I don't think that's going to happen as I think there'll be too many proud, competitive guys who'll want to go full bore wearing their country's jersey and once a few start the rest will join in.

It could be a mess due to a lack of training. But then, that might be more entertaining than well-drilled hockey.
