Crosby won't be the first "big gun" to leave, that's a guarantee

Letang and Malkin will be gone before Sid goes
I'd keep Malkin over both. But then again if they were going to trade all 3, I'd send Crosby to the shittiest team, Letang to the second shittiest, then Malkin to the best team possible to win another cup.

Yes, f*** both of them, Geno deserves a better f***ing send off.

Yeah I'd keep the first if it was a top 10 pick over trading for Jiricek. Any player that is further away from making it to burn out the years left for Sully, the better.

I can't imagine what kind of turd Jiricek would turn into under Sullivan.

What pieces would CBJ be intrested in to get this done? Dont see us trading 1sts or Rutger...

That's the thing, lol. What f***ing pieces does this team have besides that?

Unless they called up Pickering to showcase him for the Jackets. Maybe the first + Pickering for Jiricek and the Jackets 3rd.

Edit: Or the Jackets want Pettersson, Pickering, Pens 2nd in 2026 for Jiricek and a 3rd so they can flip Pettersson with retention to the Canucks for another asset.

Columbus makes out like bandits in that kind of deal. That's what I'd do if I was Donny Wads. Jackets can retain 50% on Petts' final season and likely get back a young D in addition to Pickering and they move Jiricek and a 3rd to add a second, Pickering, likely another pick and a top prospect and cap dump in Hoglander.

Jackets don’t need LD. They got Mateychuk, Svozil, etc.

They’re rumored to want young NHL players that have potential to “break out”. I wouldn’t be surprised if DOC is lumped into that category for some teams considering how he ended last season and his play driving ability…

other than that, maybe Blomqvist?

If you see Jiricek as someone that wants out and they feel he's not a fit - If you can get Pickering, 2nd from Pens, 2nd from Canucks, Hoglander, and the other D Pettersson, for retaining 50% on Marcus Pettersson and moving a 3rd and Jiricek?

You add some insane depth.

If not D then maybe young forwards. Canucks could do Lekkerimaki for Jiricek, Pens can't match that.

I wouldn't move Blomqvist for Jiricek. Call me crazy but f*** that. I'm not even over losing Gustavsson, to lose Blomqvist too?

Yep. That’s what I was thinking DOC, Blomqvist and a 2nd.

Or some type of deal where we take Elvis, retain on Jarry and get Jiricek as collateral.

Yea, goalies are a crapshoot so I wouldn’t mind losing Blom for the right deal.

There is a very good chance CLB is enamored with Blomqvist considering their goalie situation/pipeline.

Wait I forgot Jiricek is a RHD. I mean the Canucks can use one too but their focus on the left side. I wonder if there's a 3 team deal to be made. Lumbus retains in Marcus to send to Vancouver for a bigger return, Pens get Jiricek, but I wonder who the Pens would have to lose.

Because unless Columbus sees Marcus as a means to get Lekkerimaki out of the Canucks? Watch it be some Boston born depth wanker Quinn and Sullivan want that Dubasshole is scouting. Or that Luca Del Bel Belluz lad for Doc.

To get Jiricek? I would personally call Blomqvist to break the news. Goalies are so fickle and it’s not like we are going to be competitive for a while. What’s the point in having a good goalie to hurt our chances of truly bottoming out?

Pavel Cajan might be something for them. They could perhaps also like Murashov.

On the flip side, what's the point in getting a 20yr old rhd to play tank minutes with Graves for 2 more years of Sullivan making adjustments to his game to be the next Ruhwedel?

Touché

But RHD is a premium position in this league. Not saying goaltending isn’t but the past like 10 cup winners all had a star/superstar dman, can’t say the same about goalie.

Getting former high pick rejects is more along the lines of what this team deserves. They're already tainted goods and at worst, Sullivan will just make them worse or by some dumb luck there's a player out there that actually likes Sullivan's method and thrives.

Dubasshole can keep trading for former 1st rejects until he finds one.

For as awesome as Blomqvist is, I don't see them wanting to part with Jiricek as the piece to land him. If Vancouver is interested, Dubas is already out bid just by Vancouver being involved. Pens have nothing they can match with.

Oh for sure

I don’t see us landing Jiricek, I just think we might be able to put a package together to maybe get them listening.

All signs point to Nashville atm however..

I think Donny Wads at best would allow Dubas to send him an offer only to use it to raise Vancouver's offer. The only reason.

At this point even Ottawa would be in on this if Staios isn't entirely incompetent.

I would probably give up a shit ton to get Jiricek, yea. He would instantly accelerate the rebuild a lot of his gets close to what he projected to be just a yearish ago.

You vastly underestimate the damage a f***wad like Sullivan can do to a prospect in 2 more years after this. If they got him now, in 3yrs he'll be one of the biggest busts in the last 10yrs.

I feel like with these things, where you hear rumblings and specifics, if the deal's not done that night it's probably fallen apart and the two sides couldn't get it done.

Hope I wake up to some deal where the Pens land Jiricek without trading a 1st or McG.
At the risk of sounding like Eeyore once again, it's really difficult to be excited about acquiring a highly rated prospect because of the Sullivan factor.

Like, you just know what will be the first thing he'll do once the prospect becomes Pens' property. "Teach him to play the right way" like he attempted with Karlsson and every other player he wants to turn into ZAR/Ruhwedel.
