Does either team do anything at ES? On the other hand, maybe Forrest should coach the Pens PP lol

I was going to say. The Baby Pens seem to be doing that elusive thing where they score on the PP. What's up with that? I thought you weren't allowed to do that and instead should just pass the puck around the perimeter for 2 minutes looking for the easy tap in.

Arguably he hasn't been keeping up with the flow ever since getting drafted. It's hard to judge a guy who was drafted on a strong team but played for weak teams, but his Q numbers fell year on year. Rocky first pro years happen, but when it happens for a guy already maybe stagnating and with multiple healthy scratches, it's got to lower the forecast.

Although i guess I still have enough faith in him that if his all round game is enough to get onto NHL ice, his scoring game can be enough that'll he be more than a depth agitator.

I mean like you said he played on trash teams until going to Val-d'Or Foreurs. But he did pretty well with them. His number didnt go up a lot but they didnt fall. He also had a monster playoffs in the final season in the Q. He has 14g in 15gp. He led the league in goals.

His stock may have gone down some but its not like he has busted to the point where his ceiling is a fourth line agitator.

I guess Legare figured out over the summer that his shot alone wasn't going to get him to the NHL.

Still a ways to go, but this one single game in the summer against another franchise that has poo-for-prospects is encouraging.

All kidding aside, these guys must hate being tied to this organization with Sully and Hextall running this team. How disheartening is it to know you likely won’t ever get a legitimate shot on the NHL team? That has to be tough, seriously.

I hope one of these guys force Sully to keep them on the big club.

Was checking the Broons GDT for yesterday's game. Apparently Gauthier got put in net half way through the game when the Pens were up 4-1. His debut didn't go so well stats-wise, but I'm not sure if he had much help or if he just boofed a few of those goals.

I imagine a lot of young players are very excited to be drafted by a team that makes the playoffs every year, has franchise legends like Crosby, Malkin and Letang playing, and seems fine with paying prospects big bucks to sit around and practice at the pro level with these guys.

Don't worry, Dr. Lizardo will make sure all these kids get chances.

Yes a player putting up .5 PPG and playing 300+ NHL games is a solid late round 1st pick.

We still should have drafted Pasta in 2014, just like we should have drafted Forsberg in 2012. Then we wouldn’t have had to waste 1sts & prospects on Kap & Zuck trades, and we probably would have an extra Cup and being a legit contender every year.

Also, not traded for Perron & drafted Barzal, or Connor, taken Hintz over Sprong, and not done the Reeves trade and move down and take Jason Robertson instead of Lauzon.

Is any of the above really too much to ask for in reality? I think not….
