Show Me What You Got!
He's really good at finding and using leverage.
I feel like as another GM, if Ray is calling you need to question the situation you are in. He isn’t calling without the high ground.

All I know is that if we somehow win a Stanley Cup this year after just being off the NHL radar since 2012, after the Rags were the overhyped darling that everybody wanted to be traded to and that every pundit was predicting to win the Cup EVERY YEAR for quite some time, Rangers fans will go into witness protection. They will be shell shocked. Gobsmacked. Paralyzed.
Not that it's likely to happen but if it somehow all comes together. WOW
That's Doug Wilson's picture!A picture of Ray Shero at work :
IN SHERO WE TRUST.
Getting him for a 3rd in itself is a good deal but I just trust this scouting staff that I am not even that upset we gave a 2nd for grabner either
I know it’s only been two years and likely too early to tell but it looks like they have already made some solid later round picks obviously starting with Bratt.
Joey A, Davies, Rykov (even tho hes gone), Maltsev, Walsh all looking like great value so far. Only pick I wasnt that crazy about was Bastian but realize he may take longer to develop
The way I look at it, we got two solid players to help for a playoff run for a couple of picks that more than likely won't amount to anything and two prospects who may never play in the NHL. If any of the assets we gave up ending up being good players, so be it. This run to the playoffs is invaluable experience for the kids and especially Hall, who has still yet to play a playoff game. The price is well worth it.

DamnDevils Organization sends a goodbye cake to prospect sent for Maroon
For all this talk that, "Maroon's numbers are inflated due to Connor McDavid", which I've heard approximately 3,827 times in the last 10 hours, his points per 60 is actually WORST while playing with McDavid. Stick a fork in that narrative, it's done.
Here's the numbers among the 3 centers he's played at least 200 minutes with this year
MAROON 2017-2018 Points/60 by Center
Ryan Nuge-Hop 2.32
Leon Draisaitl 2.11
Connor McDavid 1.78
Patrick Maroon - Teammates - Individual - Natural Stat Trick
Damn
I thought this was legit until I saw “Sorry.... what was your name?”
I was like “that’s cute. We’ve never done that for another traded prospect before” haha.
Maroon was a 30-35 point per year guy before McDavid and him even played for the same team, so McDavid probably made him better, but not THAT much better.
Damn, I really, really love this trade. When the Grabner trade happened I went a little off the deep end because I like Rykov, but once I calmed down a little, I thought 'okay, if we're going to load up for a run this year, let's get another piece. I was thinking along the lines of Kane, or maybe even EK, but this is great. We get to replace another stiff with an entirely decent scoring wing that has size and can win board battles. If we get Gibbons back and Bratt finds his game again, this team can be very, very dangerous. Adding Marjo for the playoffs would be the icing on the cake.

3 legit scoring lines and a fast and greasy 4th line that can also score. We've been beating good teams all year. Just needed that consistency. Now we're getting back our goaltender. Good time to go on a run.
My favorite thing is when players are criticized for playing with good linemates. I guess your points only count if you're playing with Devante Smith-Pelly and Jacob Josefson. Even if he had played most of the year with 97, he still scored those goals. What, McD was bouncing the puck off his stick? Please.
Where did Grabner go? He isn’t in your lineup
I just hope Ray doesn't take Yzerman's calls anytime soon lol
