If they were trading up I think inside the top #10 is where I would want to be. It does not really matter that much between 6-10 IMO as the 6-10 players are similar in ability.
Ekblad
Reinhart
Bennett
Draisaitl
Dal Colle
Will 90% be the top 5.
Then:
Nylander
Ehlers
Virtanen
Ritchie
Fleury
IMO are the next 5... then in terms of talent a there is a drop to the next ~15-20 players who are all kind of interchangeable to some degree depending on preference. Though Fleury is kind of in the middle between these four and the rest IMO but I put him in this group due to him being quite obviously the 2nd best D man in the draft.
Not that there are none who are slightly better or worse or I prefer, but there is no daylight between the rest. Guys like Pastrnak, Kempe, McKeown, DeAngelo, Honka and Ho-Sang likely all go after 20... but I cannot see that much of a difference between them and guys like Kapanen, Fiala, Perlini and McCann (though I do really like McCann and Kapanen...) who likely go in the 10-15 range.
Surprised Karlsson has disappeared so much off radars... he has not impressed ofc, but there is talent there. If he gets to mid 2nd round he could end up a steal. He has upside, good skating, gritty, can get points and is versatile.
