In a draft like this it's really hard to get fixated on a player even if you want to since it's so damn close. I have Milano a top of my wish list but I have 10 or so other players that I'm totally fine with as well so I don't think I'll be initially mad like the previous two years.
The problem is this. Just because the scouting agencies don't agree doesn't mean that the Flyers scouts actually view it as close. For all we know, they could believe that Kempe is the second coming of Eric Lindros. Our opinions are meaningless.

Next 30 hours could be very interesting. Seems like a lot of smoke surrounding the Flyers at this stage.

I don't feel that way at all, compared to previous seasons. I have the feeling that things are relatively quiet for the draft being here tomorrow night. What makes you think that?
I don't believe so but Barkov has more value than anyone on the Flyers besides Giroux. Just found it hysterical someone actually said they wouldn't do that because we'd have a lack of wingers. I guess he would't deal Voracek and 17 for Crosby either.

All the insiders are barking about how desperately Florida wants a "scoring winger".
I wouldn't doubt that they have significant interest in Simmonds.
Lebrun, in fact, said that he thinks the best offers have come from teams in the mid first round, but Florida is hesitant to trade past 10. Maybe I'm reading into it, but given the implications of the Flyers in the past few days, I wouldn't be surprised if 17+Simmonds for Ekblad (as a base) was either on the table or an offer Florida wants to get on the table.

I have a feeling that there's no overwhelming offer on the table. Tallon has looked borderline desperate to offload that pick for immediate help a couple of times now. If he really had an offer that good, he wouldn't run to the media about it right away. He would probably just contact the other interested GM's about needing to come up with something better.

Ekie(e4) is saying it's Vancouver. I doubt Kesler accepts a deal there, what in the hell could they be offering, and why?

That's what I was thinking. If it was above and beyond would you need to sleep on it? But if he doesn't trade it now, they'll ask him what the hell was wrong with such an offer.

Laughton+Couterier+17 for the 1st. I think that might give them something to sleep on. I'd pick one of the Sam's with the top pick not Ekbald.

Kesler wouldn't be apart of it. They've been probably the team most rumored with the 1st overall pick the last week or so. The most recent rumored offer was the 6th overall pick, Hunter Shinkaruk (1st rounder last year & top prospect), & a roster player not named Kesler.

That literally wouldn't make any sense. I wouldn't even do that for the purpose of drafting Ekblad neither though.
