Yeah but I'm cool with that. Next year's draft is better anyway. Get some picks in that draft and call it a day. I like Vinny and I think he can rebound, but if they are looking to clear some cap space (presumably for some other move), he's the only guy that can be dealt.

Florida wants to start the push. We have the assets in place to help them along, including the Schenns.

I don't know if making that move is ideal though, but we can take a look at the possibilities.

They don't really need another young center. They need a goal scoring right winger, so start with Simmonds or Voracek and then add multiple assets.

Then realize it doesn't make any sense for the Flyers.

Yep, as soon as we're talking Simmonds and Voracek and not Schenn...it becomes a no-dice situation from a Flyers standpoint.

This confuses me. How exactly does this handcuff the Flyers? Couldn't they just pay Lecavalier the bonus money earlier than that? Either that, or send 2M to the team that wants him.
