There's a game tonite in a couple hours and this is probably Marduk's best song:

Now we never know if that's just why.

I mean what if they can't write in the proper way, if they don't know how to conjugate? Maybe they failed that class, and maybe now they find that people mock them online.

Semin out. What now?

I don't usually reply to my own posts...but I was texting with my buddy who writes for the Ottawa paper and he said "talking to Peters I got the impression he just doesn't care enough. Didn't go to the net hard enough."

Not good.

Not surprising, he and Pete seem to really be at odds with eachother even with the injury situation.

That said literally NOBODY was going to the net hard enough last night aside from MAYBE Gerbe and Nash.

I thought a perfect example of what Peters wants versus what Semin ends up doing was the 2 on 1 with Nestrasil when he bailed himself out with the backwards between the legs pass for an ok scoring chance...but the play was to shoot, he had so much time and he just couldn't do it. I'm sure his wrist plays into it because anyone would have shot there. An example of needing faster decisions versus taking too long and the play kind of dying. The scoring chance could have been much better.

But back to what you said... Yes, it sure does appear from the outside that Peters and Semin won't be having dinner together at each other's homes.

I didn't think Semin had an egregiously bad game yesterday. I would have liked him to shoot it instead of passing the puck between his legs but whatever. At least he was ripping some shots on net throughout the night.

I thought the same thing, he was fine last night...

Oh, he didn't. At least not enough to ride the bench.

This irks me, obviously, because I see them basically forcing Semin out for minimal value if not something negative. But once he gets somewhere else, I wouldn't be shocked to see him bounce back in a strong way. Let's keep in mind that Peters is at the helm of the worst season in team history. He's not exactly in position to be chasing away talented players.

I look forward to Semin's $7 million lining PK's pockets, because we're kidding ourselves if we think it'll be thrown back into the pool to improve this team.

Semin is stuck here for now, may as well find a way to make him useful.

I'm actually watching this one so far. Decent enough looking end to the PP, though it's a shame the puck hopped over Murphy's stick.

That seems to happy a lot with all of our defenders. Either it hops their stick at the blueline or they aren't fast enough to the boards to keep the puck in the zone. On an extremely unscientific basis, Western conference teams seem to be much better at that for whatever reason.

"What if I told you that the Carolina Hurricanes had a competent coach, but he wasn't the one making all the decisions?"

ESPN's 30 for 30: 30 for 30.
