The Kings have lost six straight games, but three of those were in the post-game skills competition segments. At 20-10-7, they remain in third place in the suddenly powerhouse Pacific Division.

Meanwhile, the Panthers have won eight straight games (!), all of them in regulation. In fact, Florida has outscored opponents 25-8 since (and including) giving the Canadiens their annual locker-stuffing on the 30th of December.

Fun fact, according to analytics guys, these are probably the two strongest teams in the league, consistently in the top three in the xGF and xGA categories throughout the first half of the season. I think that for most of late 2023, these teams were actually #1 and #2 in the analytics power rankings.



So, I fully expect a boring 2-1 pukefest.
