Samo is really good at driving by the net and then doing nothing with the puck.

I think he's been ok offensively, makes something happen at least. But that defensive play that lead to a goal was pure diarrhea, doesn't pin the guy to the wall and makes a stupid spinorama when he lost sight of the puck. That'll get him benched very quickly.

Always been a bit of a perimeter player…

His shot is an asset, his release looked great in college, but it has look worse and worse to my eyes as he’s been getting through higher ranks.

Hope he can adapt, he is still young, looks competitive and shifty… Also has flair, but I’m afraid he doesn’t bring enough intangibles after that !

When Barkov is back, if Samo isnt playing with 1 of Barky, Lundell, or Bennett, then he doesnt have a place in the lineup.

He has the best offensive instincts of any of the non top 8 guys. But he cannot be a negative defensively, PoMo giving him a lesson tonight. He has also been moved up prior to this.

Kid has to take his lumps.

Very high on him, high motor for a little guy, reads the play well, excels in transition and entries. The NHL is another half step faster it'll come.

Didn’t ask for a call-up… Just said he should have been the one making the cut after training camp over Mackie.

The answer is pretty obvious now IMO, it’s Boqvist up and Nosek in.
