Kulikov is not a natural when playing defense. Nothing he does is smooth other than his skating. He is what he is and he will have to be coached up probably throughout his career to play well and consistent. When he's focused he is very good in his zone and his skating and strength is a big plus to have. On offense he does not look very comfortable as to when to shoot or pass at the point. If he was more decisive he would get more pucks to the net instead of it getting it blocked all the time or shooting wide has he does. He does look a lot more comfortable pinching in and going to the net like he did in that goal he scored the other day and he should use his skating as his strength because he has the ability to get back even if he doesn't score. He's been good since his benching overall with just a few blips here and there but he has to play focused out there to be successful.
