I guess we’ll see. All the whining last year produced a pretty good result

This has nothing to do with last year.

They had a bad stretch last year where they were clearly coasting. But they still went 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and 4-0 in their last 4.

This year, they are just bad. Obviously, injuries have something to do with it.

But we will still miss Ekblad for the first 2 games. And Tkachuk will miss at least the first 2 games. We’d be lucky if he plays at all in R1. And even if he does, he’ll probably be at 50%.

And if that happens then we’re a first round exit. Shit happens lmao. Losing players like Tkachuk is catastrophic. This team made 2 finals in a a row and won 1. You’re not guaranteed shit in this league. We had a luxury of riches last year, the cap didn’t afford that this year. Load up again next year and rest up. So before that last 4 game win streak they were 2-3-1? Lmao

Yeah, but I really doubt they’ll go 4-0 this year the way things are going lol

If we lose in R1, I wouldn’t be mad at all. You are right, last 2 years were amazing.

They’ll come back stronger next year. That’s fine. I just don’t want to lose to Toronto. So I Hope they play Tampa.

I mean they’ve played like hot ass lately but in my opinion the last 3 games have been encouraging. I’m on the just make it and go from there. They lose round 1, it is what it is. The last 2 years was ALOT of hockey.

They need to stop giving away grade A chances on the first 10 or so shots, but if they give up one, Bob needs to save it. Always being down a goal or two before the tenth shot is deflating as f***.

There you have it folks. 4-0 OTT shutout
Can’t even get that right!

i thought it was an entertaining, if frustrating game. agree with maurice's post-game presser - we looked pretty good in terms of what you expect. we were the hungrier of the two teams, despite the fact the sens needed the game more. we were the more creative and physical team. we had a ton of grade a chances. at full strength, someone at some point is going to convert for us and then you either neutralize or turn score effects in your favor.

I think they’ve played 3 really good games. The last minute meltdown was annoying to Montreal but we’ve been the better team all 3 games. If you think Tkachuk, Barkov, Ekblad, won’t help then whatever I guess lol

i guess this is what i'm trying to say in fewer words!

On May 1, 2020, so pretty much 5 years ago, I made a 400 post thread talking about how to fix this team. 5 years later, a President's Trophy, 2 straight Cup finals, a freaking Cup! later, who could have seen this coming. I still think a deep run is in them but even if they lose in 4, what a run it's been (also the solution to that thread was getting Zito and dumping Hubs for Chucky.) Cheers to another deep run, we're back again baby!

I knew the end of the this season was going to be a slog, but…….this is such a slog…

Only 10 more days. Just hope tkachuk is ok. I’m doubtful that he’s going to be ok

I was right as usual

Need a top-4 dman and 2-3 bottom-9 forwards who are willing to pay the price in the dirty areas on a nightly basis. This team is far too soft, far too brain-dead, and far too easy to play against to compete with teams like the Islanders who make you fight for every inch and happily take advantage of your mistakes.

I was on the f***ing money. Dadonov had a hat trick but they still lost - proving my point! Sort of
I’m okay with trading Hubie and Weegar if he’s asking for too much money and too long a term.

I’m not okay keeping Dadonov, he’s already in a decline. I send Haula to orbit. I might keep Hoffman as long as money and term are okay.

Matheson, Yandle, .... argh so many to get rid of, so few options. Okay, there’s no hope, I give up.
