If the leafs think they can win this series without laying the body they're fooling themselves. This is exactly how the Panthers beat the Bruins.

We had the second best PP in the league and then decided to switch Nylander and O’Rielly for some reason.

Don’t think that’s specifically the reason why it’s bad, but we went from having 2 distant shooters on it to 1.

The play indicates that we are in for an exciting 2nd round here boys.

Panthers up, play is leaning in favor of the boys I would say but pretty equal. Missed some grade A opportunities. Keep up the play and clean it up a little, I will feel more confident.

Have faith! GLG!!!!

Entertaining hockey!

Lots of adrenaline and jitters opening Round 2 on home ice. Liking what I'm seeing though. If this keeps up the cream will rise to the top. If they want to run and gun, our guys will come out on top.

They had 15 hits and looked pretty physical. Not sure what you mean?
 
I think the leafs match up with the panthers way better than the lightning.

I think the leafs are up 3-1 by the end of the 2nd.

This could easily be 4-0 leafs. Or 4-4. Or 4-0 florida. My point is, both teams are going to get chances tonight. One goal leads aren't going to be safe all series. Get back out there and they kill this penalty and score on one of their chances and its a different game. They've been getting chances. They still make these dumb little mistakes that cost them.

I know for the past few years this core has had a penchant for playing down to the lower placed teams and I hope that's something they put behind them. Going from thinking they'll play boston to Florida is a change. Even some of our fans were bragging about blowing florida away like they didn't just beat the Bruins..

So far Sammy has been great. Matthews seems like he's dialed in. Marner is the only one that seems out of sync right now for the forwards. He made two bad passes on the first power play that sent the play the other way, the first on a low effort "swat" pass and the other when he sent it out in front of the net right to a Panthers player.

I'm not as worried about being down a goal against this florida team but it's not good and we really need to get the next goal. We can NOT rely on these come from behind wins like we had against Tampa.

Keefe keep sending out the 4th line whenever possible at home. No wonder why they only won one out of three home games so far.

On the road he didn't have any choices but to play his best line because he doesn't have last change.
