Florida ideally moves him to spend money on a guy like Bertuzzi, or get some D help with his $3M cap hit. Or to net some futures, to flip from some help. But I doubt they can get much in the way of picks in return.

He doesn't play defense and he was bad coming off the ACL injury (understandable). Only 1 year left but very small cap hit, makes sense why Florida is shopping him, he doesn't fit in their top 6 anymore. Panthers are looking for 3rd/4th liners and defensive help, not sure if he could get back anyone of note but someone will take him.

Meh, he scored like 2 or 3 goals if that. Was involved in some key goals with assists but that’s about it. His only weapon is speed. He absolutely sucks at defense, board battles/puck retrievals, and loses possession way too often.

I wouldn’t say he doesn’t fit the top 6. He just doesn’t fit our style. We’re trying to go more gritty. He’s still a top 6 guy just not in our system.

I'd take Duclair on the Sharks for free or for a bottom six player on our team that Florida may like whether that's Sturm or Lorentz or Lindblom if they wanted but I wouldn't pay a pick or a prospect of value for him since we're rebuilding.
