Feels like the year where the Kings break the curse. I don't know how Edmonton goes deep without Ekholm. Is Hyman expected to make it back at least?

Gun to head, I still have a hard time not giving it to the Oilers, but I think they have their work cut out for them.

No ekholm, Fredrick and possibly not Hyman, combined with with Kane who hasn't played in a year and a hobbled mcdavid, drai, wallman and oilers have a lot of odds stacked against them. Looking like a write off year due to bad luck but if anyone can overcome this it's mcdavid and draisItl

I don't see the big deal in the King Clancy thing, it's not the Lady Byng.

The guy obviously does a ton of charity work for his community and has worn a letter since he was 24. I'm not a fan of the player, I actually think he's one of the most overrated players in the league, but he very clearly does a lot more good off-the-ice than most players do, which is what the award is for.

Hyman will play but by my eye he's been banged up the entire season. I'm expecting him to look like Kane did last year--on the ice, but ineffective.

The east coast thing sucks.. not because posters are selfish but because almost no oiler games start this late the 82 regular season. It's be like if the leafs games all started at 9pm EST. Fans would be pissed.

LA vs Edm games can start at 1030 and have ceremonies and bullshit before.. puck drops at 11pm EST.

If this was the norm all season.. then fine. Call a poster selfish. It isn't. Maybe 10 games all season had a 1030 start and I think I'm high.

Pacific division games frequently start at 10 or 1030 eastern.

And thats a horrible example because a local game shouldn't start at 9PM local.

Mountain time is the sweet spot I feel. The early games are at 5. Late games at 8. It’s perfect.

Arizona time was great when I lived there. Early in the season, DST hasn't ended yet, so I'd get east coast games at 4 and no games ever started later than 7:30. DST ends, so Arizona shifts an hour forward in relation to the east coast (without changing clocks). Still no games starting later than 8:30. Late in the regular season, DST would start again, so Arizona would go back to being three hours behind the east coast.

I'd sometimes miss the first period or so of an eastern conference game that started at 4:00, but that's okay. Mountain time all year sounds pretty sweet though.

What time is 10:30 local time in Edmonton?

I said Oiler games rarely start at 10:30. I said less than 10. Feel free to show me all the 10:30 starts the Oilers have had this season. You also missed the point about puck not dropping till 11pm which is 9pm local time in Edmonton.

I'm fine with correcting me but read the post

I thought you were talking about being in the east?

But even so, pacific time zone games always start at 7 or 730 pacific. Im not sure why they would start earlier, at least for a home game
