1 to 8 seeding results in LA playing Edmonton"The fans love the playoff format" - Gary Bettman, probably
Death, taxes, and the Oilers vs the Kings in Rd. 11 to 8 seeding results in LA playing Edmonton
Wrong. LA is 4 and EDM is 6.1 to 8 seeding results in LA playing Edmonton
Darn, instead of looking at the standing I just asked ai .. so 50 percent wrong ... hahaWrong. LA is 4 and EDM is 6.
Had you been correct, this still would've been the 1st time these teams have met in the playoffs in recent memory if the last 4 years were the 1-8 format.

But I love meeting the oil in the playoffs.. grows my hate .. haha
Umm yah that's what I meant .. hahaha jkI thought your post meant “It’s such an inevitability, they’d even meet in a 1vs8 playoff format” but I guess that’s just me lol
The stars have been shit the last few months.
I will agree on the other 3 teams but it isn't because of ekholm it will be goaltending that we succumb to against the offensive likes of Avs Vegas and Winnipeg..
But on a side note we aren't favorites going in, different mindset on the room maybe with out the pressure of cup or bust?
We shall see but as an oilers fan I don't have high hopes. I personally don't think er get out of the second round. Here's hoping I'm wrong......
Is it choking if they're never expected to win? These series have all blended together, but the first one was a close 7 game series. The only time the Kings "choked" was when the refs handed the Oilers the game with a bullshit 5 minute PP. I wanna say that was game 4 2023I actually thought even the oilers were the “favorite” it’s a unique enough situation that all the pressure would still be on the Kings
But now, being the higher seed, with all the oil injuries, and the Kings being shitcanned by Edmonton three years in a row, there’s immense pressure on a Kings team that has choked in pretty spectacular manner several times
I don't think winning or losing first round decides mcdavids future, but I could see him waiting on what deals and or changes are made this offseason before deciding. Wouldn't blame him we definitely took a few steps back this year.Really hope LA slays the dragon this year and helps put doubt in the minds of Oilers fans that McDavid will re-sign.
If I had to guess, I still think Oilers have enough to win the series but LA needs this more and will be pulling for them.
Haven't watched either of them enough to have a detailed opinion.
Donairs are hit and miss. Either really good or wtf was i thinkingYou’re doing it wrong then.
