I honestly don't agree. There's still a strong chance they don't even make it out of the first round. Plus LA needs that home ice advantage that they're not going to get in round 2.
They just have that aura about them. The getting hot at the right time kind of stuff. People like to meme about history repeating itself again, but Edmonton looks pretty rough heading into the playoffs.

This LA team getting momentum in the first round could be a tough out.

I've heard a few people call Spott an improvement on who they currently have... that shocks me.
I know I'm one of them. I promise Rich Clune is worse than Spott ever was in Vegas. Imagine all the problems the VGK had on the Spott powerplay and amplify them by about 20% and throw in that Anaheim was much worse on PP faceoffs and zone entries.

Though I will say that the whole thing with a static powerplay that relies too much on guys at the point holding the puck too long waiting for a defender to bite and get out of position, I was having Vietnam flashbacks to Spott the entirety of this Ducks season.

I think of it in a similar fashion to when the Leafs finally won a playoff series. Could be a huge emotional letdown after beating the Oilers.

I think us wild fans should also start thinking about what round 2 and 3 matchups were most worried about.
I know the parade is gonna go straight down Kellogg, but where does it go after that? Should I stake out a spot in Rice Park early or not is what I'm getting at
