The star team does not give you high IQ, excellent skating, correct decision-making and calmness in the game.

Plus, it's not like he's a passenger on that team. He's one of the key players that makes it so good. Like, Victor Hedman isn't a product of the star-studded Tampa Bay Lightning.

Did you watch him at the Worlds? Mans was on a mission there. He definitely looked his age at times but you could tell the potential was there. Going back to Michigan is doing wonders for him and if all goes well having Dahlin and Power in your defense will make you happy for 10+ years easily

It's that "oh hey, that winger moves really well and is around the puck" thing and then realizing it's Power. And then he's back in position on defense after being deep on the play too - that's not his teammates, that's him being gifted.

When you're the best player, it doesn't really matter that you play on an all star team. His talent shines through.

Not surprising, he wasn’t getting pp time last season and now he’s getting to run an all star-laden PP1 squad. But difference in roles.

"Star probability" isn't close to accurate yet. Especially for defensemen and goalies.

That’s not about NHLe. That’s about the model he created using NHLe.

NHLe isn’t designed to predict someone’s career.

NHLe should be used to compare prospects production in different leagues or to compare prospects progress year to year. About the only thing it can be predictive of is what a player might produce their rookie year. It gives a ballpark idea and even that is subject to usage, etc.

Actually, playing with really good players, usually makes you better. You always pickup things from the players around you, and playing with the best will only push you to be one too. Yes, it will also artificially inflate your stats.
