Power’s ability to think the game is at an insanely high level. Probably only second to Dahlin’s.

He will figure out the other side of the puck with experience and I think somebody like EJ is the perfect mentor for that.

Power seems like a nice kid but man he is somehow more boring than McDavid.
I was a little disappointed with his interview.. The guys asked pretty good questions about Buffalo turning the corner, Dahlin and Okposo and he pretty just said "Yeah its great, there great, its exciting.."

Granted he's young and will feel more comfortable in his own skin as he gets older but I agree he was boring.

Not everybody needs to be the outgoing type, It seems to be expected that everyone has this upbeat interview persona, anyways hockey players seem to be less outgoing than others sports personalities anyways.

That feels like an oversimplification. I just finished listening. He didn’t exactly go out of his way to tell big story-type answers. But he wasn’t bad. He just sounds a little reserved. Beniers is obviously a bit more outgoing.

2. Owen Power, D

11/22/2002 | 6-foot-6 | 218 pounds | Shoots left

Drafted: No. 1 in 2021
Tier: NHL All-Star

Skating: NHL average
Puck skills: NHL average
Hockey sense: High-end
Compete: NHL average

Analysis: Power was one of the very best rookies in the NHL this past season, playing real minutes for Buffalo and on both special teams. Power is a super-intelligent defenseman. He sees the ice and has the skills of a 5-10 defenseman while being 6-6. He can hit seams at a high rate and has the hands, patience and vision to run a power play and create off the blue line. Power is quite mobile for a big man, and although he’s not that physical, he projects to shut down top forwards due to that reach and mobility. He looks like a no doubt big minutes player for a long time, and should be an NHL star.

I love that Power is being slept on. Most underrated, under the radar #1 pick I have ever seen.
