The NHLFantasy Twitter account is projecting Auston Matthews to have 32 goals, 28 assists, and 60 points during the 2020-21 Season.

So based on that the NHL Twitter account is now the question if Matthews gets over 60 points this season or under 60 points?

I personally think he finishes with 65 points so obviously I'm voting for over.

So who on here thinks Matthews will finish with over 60 points or under 60 points?

Id expect ned be in the 90-100 point range if healthy over a normal 82 game season this year. So should have a pretty good chance at getting North of 60 for points

Top players tend to have tons of points to start as defences aren't as sharp. Then with the condensed schedule, if teams don't manage minutes well, we could see a lot of points scored due to tiredness. I'd be willing to bet on an over of 70.

At the 56 game mark last season I believe he had 40 goals? He ended up with 47 in 70 and didn't play with Marner the first quarter of the season. He should get around 40 goals then I'm thinking and adding another 30 assists isn't unreasonable either.

For those who wanted to know the results of the poll from the NHL Twitter account these were the numbers.

71.1% Of people voted Matthews getting over 60 points.

28.9% Of people voted Matthews getting under 60 points.

So of those 28.9% I wonder how many account for Leafs haters because that vote is open to anyone.

Before Mike Babcock got fired the only other game last season where Matthews played with Marner at 5v5 was on October 19, 2019 when Toronto won 4-3 in overtime. The only points Matthews had was the secondary assist on Morgan Rielly's game winning goal, with Marner getting the primary assist since his shot deflected off Rielly and into the net.

Dom Luszcyszyn who is very accurate has Matthews @

Over, if he plays a full 56 games. Under if he misses 5+ games.

I’ll take the over, but that’s highly dependent on him having a healthy season.

Last year was the first time since Matthews rookie season that he played all 70 games and baring a late injury he was well on his way to playing in all 82 games.

He won't miss games this season because of our newer thugs. They (simmonds, big joe and bogosian) take care of business. They fight, rumble and presha hard. Matthews etc will stay only healthy as our new thugs shook everybody up and move thangs. I love it sire.
