Denny’s, for a grand slam breakfast.
Ha! It’s actually quite interesting that you mentioned this. I am very concerned about his longevity because of his diet. He doesn’t care about what he eats, and older players should.

Although he can still have the grand slam breakfast and a large soda in the morning and then score a pair of goals in the evening. :)

He really should finish up this season right around 777 (has a nice ring to it too!), around 46 goals.

That would 117 left. 3 more seasons could do it.

pace at a 40 goal mark and he’ll pass Howe around this time next year.

I am not worried about his diet. Russian machine never breaks.

Gotta do 50+ now to have a chance. It’s going to be harder to score for him each year. So he has to front load his production in the next couple of seasons.

I can see him playing up to 42.

These are worst case totals .

Age
36: 10 more goals this year
37: 35 goals
38: 30 goals
39: 30 goals
40: 20 goals

if he falls short of this totals at any age he will come on for a 41, and possibly a 42 year old season to break the record, but he likely gets more than those totals.

tldr, Ovi is going to break the record.

Ovechkin is now 25 goals away from tying Gordie Howe for most goals with a single franchise (786). There's still a chance he ties this by the end of this season (but it's looking more likely that it'll be early in 2023).

Nobody else in NHL history (aside from Howe and Ovechkin) have 700 goals for a single franchise. As far as I can tell, only four other players have 600 goals for one franchise (Yzerman, Lemieux, Sakic, Hull).

Who knows, maybe Saros will be the goalie, who will give up 895-th goal

Showing signs lol. People like you have been saying this for the last 10 years, you'd think y'all would give up. I guess eventually you'll be right though.
Nah I'm seeing it over the last month or 2. Something definitely "off" perhaps injury or what not. I'm sure he'll prove me wrong. Lol

Hey kudos to Lavi. He’s at least committed to getting Ovechkin the goal scoring record.

Considering he’s playing Ovi in those positions and him being one of the worst defensive forwards on their team.

Capital fans should be happy for that.

This is true for 55+ minutes of a hockey game but when there is an empty net on the other side of the ice he mysteriously turns into Patrice Bergeron
