OV hat trick against Pens
Hockey history is starting to blur in my mind, was this the dueling hat-trick game, or was that 09? God that game was amazing.
OV hat trick against Pens
Personally I don't want him to break #895 next year.
I think if he did that he would come into the following training camp at 300 pounds for the last year of his contract.
That was not the duelling hat tricks game. The latter was in the '09 playoffs.Hockey history is starting to blur in my mind, was this the dueling hat-trick game, or was that 09? God that game was amazing.
ESPN: "Breaking, Washington Capitals announce a coaching change. Adam Oates and Dale Hunter reunited with Ovechkin."Also people were speculating it would take two more years but I’d wager OV does it next year, maybe even pushes for 50, can’t have a worse start than this year.

Dale Hunter’s mission to turn the Capitals into a trap team and Ovechkin into a third line grinder was an interesting experiment..Oates was bad for the team, but he was rather good for Ovechkin,
Caps PP can use some Oates now.
Considering the Caps are due for a long rebuild, he can probably extend his contract and just stand in the left circle waiting for a one timer until he gets his 895.He turned what was to be an awful season into a respectable 30 goal year. you have to hand it to him. He's still in play to break the record if he can duplicate this year two more times.

He would have to duplicate it one more year and then add 13 goals the year after that.He turned what was to be an awful season into a respectable 30 goal year. you have to hand it to him. He's still in play to break the record if he can duplicate this year two more times.
Even though I am a Pens fan, Ovy you can't deny is a hell of a player. Didn't like him in the past but gotta respect the guy for what he's accomplished. Guy is going to beat Gretzky's goal record...GRETZKY!
I want to see him and Sid keep ripping it up against this younger generation.
the record is kinda of the last thing for his career unless a miracle run happens which is highly unlikely. Im fine with him breaking the record and then crushing a 30 pack on the bench the rest of the contract. Think of how many players in sports ever live up to their contracts the entire time. Ovi is definitely one of the few.Personally I don't want him to break #895 next year.

Congrats to OV on another record!
I was lucky to see 20 of those 852 goals live.
Some of them I remember very well:
OV hat trick against Pens
OV goal against Habs
