Hard to think they would be term to Reaves. 2 years sure but 3 for a pure enforcer is nuts.

It sure was :(

Knies look like the perfect power forward next to Matthews and Marner. He has hands and iq unlike Josh Anderson

We all like to laugh at Matthews and chirp him on HF but he's a star, bordering on super star. Don't let his indifference on the ice at times fool you; he's a killer. We haven't had a AM since Lafleur. And as poorly constructed as the leafs may be, they're never out of games with a guy with his size and shot, pacing for 80 goals

I can't stand Matthews...but I'd take his elite goal scoring on the Habs any day of the week. He's a threat to score every time he's on the ice.

The way Matthews is playing he has a legit shot at 50 in 50. He hasn't missed any games right ?

Eh, the Pens didnt have much talent at D and G either. Dumoulin, Orpiks, Gonchar and Marino are probably the 4 best ones after Letang... thats over almost 20 years.

I think Sid and Malkin were just flat out better than Mcdavid and Drai and missed the elusive 1D. Id say forwards were similar, maybe a bit better on Pe s with Kessel and Guentzel later on.
Gill and Scuderi made a really good defensive pair.

Forwards were definitely better.

Pens had James Neal, but he didn't win a cup there.

Chris Kunitz was pretty damn good.

Pascal Dupuis was underrated. Not great, but got the job done. Similarly to Talbot. Remember when he got beat up and that sparked the Pens to come back ?

Jordan Staal was pretty damn solid.

Oilers have RNH who produces way more than Staal did, but for some reason doesn't seem as good.

Oilers have no one like Kunitz. No one like Kessel. No depth players stepping up.

Fleury gets shit on, but he is/was a pretty good goalie and significantly better than what Edmonton has had. Murray was pretty solid when needed, too.

Pens also brought up guys like Conor Sheary and Bonino, or acquired them and they became solid depth players.

The Canucks just tied it and are being outshot 19-3. The goal went in off of a Oilers defenseman stick

Shots are now 19-3 and it's tied 1-1.
Frustrating season so far for the Oilers fans
Now the Canucks take a lead on a weak goal by Skinner, Oilers dominate the period but their goaltending is letting them down again
