Calgary beat LAK last night, which means they tie Montreal's record of most points without making the playoffs with 96.

It also means they tied the Blues in points but St. Louis goes through on the RW tie breaker.

It definitely sucks to be that close & miss.

New OTT thread for playoffs.

Wolf was pretty amazing this year, his numbers are solid and he could garner votes for the Calder. His team played meaningful games throughout the year.

Yes. Calgary also played 3 games against St. Louis this year & came away with one point.

Wolf, Hutson, Celebrini & Michkov are the top 4 rookies. Someone is going to miss out.

Wolf shows that amateur scouts have to stop thinking that 6' goalies can't play.
One of many attributes that need to be considered. Don't discount them but lots of Rocco Grimaldi's for every cole caufield. Lots of brannstroms for every Hutson.

Talent is talent. If you're not sure on the talent size is an important attribute for bottom six/two roles.

True but can a 6' goalie still dominate?
The net is still 6×4

Oh I'm not arguing against that, but bringing up goalies from the 90's or way before is not an argument, as the game is much quicker today so you need goalies who can cover a lot of ground. I doubt we will see any goalies under 5'11 from now on.

Goalie position seems really hard to project. I mean, when you look at every Goalie drafted every draft. They have awesome statistic it in their club respectively. They have like ,950 pct and below 2,00 goal against. How can you find the best one? If Calgary knew Wolf was the best, he wouldnt be pick in the 7th round
Personnally, every year, I would select a goalie on the 3rd//4th round. We never know, you could find a reallly good one.
