Lazar, for one, just had his 3rd concussion in a couple months. Don't think he'll be traded any time soon unless he can prove he can stay healthy.

Don't think the Habs would be insterested in trading 2 years of Patches at 4.5 for Ryan at 7.25 for 5 years

Won't comment on the other 2 offers but the Habs offer is so bad for the Habs.

I think it's about time to stop including Lazar in proposals with the idea that he has a lot of value. There's debate going on right now whether they should even protect him in the expansion draft so that should be all you need to hear to measure how much value he has.

I am sure Canadiens would hate that because Ryan is expensive with long term contract and is struggling.

Senators get JVR for that and they become a better team making the 1st worth less. TML would want more I am sure.

No .It should be a late rd pick in 2017.Value is fine.

I'm just not seeing it. It makes no sense for Ottawa value wise, position wise, or salary wise. It makes Ottawa worse right now and in the future. There's no incentive to this trade whatsoever. It's a top line 24yo underpaid winger, for a 34yo overpaid declining center (Ottawa doesn't need middle 6 centers), a prospect approaching bust/reclamation territory, and a worthless throw-in 3rd piece.

Leafs pass. If JVR is moving, a top 4 youngish Dman is the ask.

Love to see that myself but they are scarce and very few are available.

Yep, which is why he likely stays with the Leafs for at least until the draft/post expansion draft. Not a lot of top 4 dmen are available and make sense in a move for JVR. In addition, the expansion draft typically makes things more difficult for the team getting JVR (unless Minny makes a trade for him).

I'm not completely against the idea of Ceci + Lazar for JVR. Gives the Leafs their young top-four RHD and gives the Senators the top-six winger they so desperately need. Money is an issue though, and I doubt Dorion would move Ceci at this point. It's nice to dream though!

Also allows the Senators to protect Methot in expansion, which (kind of) off-sets the loss of Ceci.
