Mackenzie has had s very dfficult year. Prolonged injuries never gave him a chance to really get back in the groove. Hopefully he is available for the playoffs but if he has a concussion that could be it for him this year.

All we can do is hope for the best until we hear otherwise.

I would could on Brantford beating Kingston.
They are resting vaccari and Dubois and more then likely other key starters

I still think there is a great chance we see the wolves in the first round

Oshawa 87
Northbay 87
Sudbury 85
Mississauga 84
Brantford 84
Ottawa 82

Oshawa (1) VS Barrie (8)
NB (2) VS Kingston (7)
Sudbury (3) VS Ottawa (6)
Miss (4) VS Brantford (5)

Oshawa has clinched they will rest guys Sunday in there final game VS the Wolves. & the Wolves should beat NIA with ease this evening. Witch means Ottawa or Kingston only has to take a point from Brantford in there final two games
oshawa has clinched their division only, I expect them to try to claim the #1 seed

Meh. Poor first period. Solid second and third. Solid OT. Vaccari and the posts played well last night and it was easily the difference in the game. Michelone with a terrible goal in OT.
I agree. He was on his knees giving up way too much net. Hoping MacKenzie is not out for any length of time.

Sudbury wins. Brantford gets the loser point. That cements Ottawa in 6th place.

Current standings:
3> Missy 84
4> Sudbury 83 ***Sudbury holds the tie-breaker with Brantford
5> Brantford 83

It is now clear. If Sudbury beats Oshawa, we play Sudbury. The end. No other result matters.

If Sudbury loses vs Oshawa (regulation) and we beat Brantford, we play Mississauga.
If Sudbury loses vs Oshawa (regulation or OT/SO) and we lose to Brantford, we play Brantford.
If Sudbury loses to Oshawa (OT/SO) and we beat Brantford (Regulation or OT/SO), we play Sudbury

Who do you want Ottawa to play? There are arguments for each of these opponents. Sudbury is on a tear. 22 goals the last two games. Sure, easier opponents but that is still 22 goals! Brantford still has players out of the lineup but the rumblings are both Lardis and Okitundu will return for the playoffs. Their building is tough to win in. Mississauga is younger and less experienced. That series would be about which team gives up the least number of goals, not who scores the most. Probably a lot of 2-1 and 3-2 OT games in that series.

If Michelone is the goalie, I DO NOT want to play Sudbury. I think I’d rather play Brantford or Mississauga in that scenario. But, I don’t think it matters who Ottawa plays. Either they play their game and skate relentlessly and move the puck quickly with a heavy puck pursuit game and they give themselves an opportunity to win or they take periods off like we’ve seen lately and they lose. I think it is that simple.

EDIT:

Ottawa goes 0-5-3 vs Kingston this season. Unacceptable results. Oshawa goes 4-3-1 vs Kingston. If Ottawa goes a more respectable 4-3-1, Ottawa gets a chance to win the Division with 86-88 points. If we circle just that one divisional series where we were overwhelmingly embarrassed, we see exactly where we went wrong this year. Ottawa’s record against all of the top teams was very respectable.

North Bay 3-3
Sudbury 2-0
Mississauga 2-2
Oshawa 6-2
Brantford 1-2
London 0-0-2
Saginaw 0-1-1
SSM 2-0
Kitchener 1-1

If we win tomorrow, our only losing record vs any of the teams with 80+ points on the season would be to Saginaw at 0-1-1.

OMG What is your fascination with IF.

Seems that your whole season this year has been based on IF

Are you dense? These are all the potential scenario’s based on the different game results. How can you present all the variations in results to determine who we play? Using the word “if” presents the potential scenarios, of which I presented all the potential ones that impact our opponent in round one. Sometimes you make yourself look so ridiculously stupid and petty.

“Had” I said, Compared to Oshawa’s record vs Kingston of 4-3-1, “had” Ottawa matched that record of 4-3-1 vs their actual record of 0-5-3, the 67’s would have had a chance to win the division….. I refrained from using that sensitive word that triggers you so badly.

Honestly, there is a clown in here. It is you.

Do us a favour delete your account you sound ridiculous every time you post. It’s actually getting worse by the day it’s to the point that I just scroll passed majority of your posts because they are so ridiculous. More & more obvious daily that you don’t have a clue about the game

I wouldn’t go as far as suggest he deletes his account but this last post actually pissed me off. I go through the time and effort to present the different scenarios that could happen that affect who Ottawa would play to make it easier for others if they are scoreboard watching tomorrow and I get some petty “reset” post about “If’s.” And then I point to our piss poor record vs Kingston and compared it to the team that won the division and pointed that the difference between Oshawa and Ottawa came down to our differing records vs Kingston and it gets mocked with an “If.”

I use the word “if” as a comparison word so it is easy to understand potential outcomes or what would need to happen for a prediction to be accurate. I go to the effort of trying to explain the reason why I came to a certain conclusion so others have the perspective of where I am coming from. They can then refute the reason why I am saying what I am saying. It is the basis from which to discuss on a forum like this. Getting mocked for it is ridiculous.

I am fine with people that disagree with an opinion. But, present your own with something that makes sense and I will change my mind. @dirty12 and I have had so many initial disagreements over the last few years but after discussion, things that each of us say get taken into account and I can say I change or alter my opinion based on the conversation. Same with many other posters input.

This latest one just set me off. There was absolutely no reason for it. Attack the content, not the way it is presented.

I used red skeleton as I was attempting to show the humour. My apologies that it upset you.

It was just that there were so many if's LOL

I still value your input. It is just that there seems to be so many if's.

He is one of the most detailed contributors to the OHL section of this forum.
Well I may not agree with all his takes he was simply explaining the playoff match up scenarios which are all "what ifs" lol
I'm not sure how else you would want him to explain that.

Tis the season for all the “IFS” and how fortunate are we as fans of the OHL that there are so many IFS coming down to the last games of the season…

MacKenzie out of the lineup for Ottawa. Saari dressed as the BUG. Michelone will need to play the entire game regardless of performance. Only way Saari gets in the net is if Michelone is injured.

67’s once again looking very disinterested. This team’s inability down the stretch to force the play and assert themselves has been astounding. They allow the other teams to dictate the play and they simply play a response game. Their lack of urgency from the puck drop continued for 60 minutes is their downfall. The way this team is playing right now, they won’t win a playoff game. Simple as that.

As much as it pains me to say it, I agree. This was a nothing game and they played exactly like that. One of the worst PP in the League went 2 for 3 against them. This disinterest has been brutally obvious for months. Motivation and urgency of play are coaching problems.

I think there are 2 issues with this team

1. The players who have been here awhile were able to have a good leadership group ahead of them. Unfortunately, there really does not seem to be that leadership this year. There is one player that stands out as the leader that can take the team on his back and do it.

2. Let's face it the other thing is that we really do not have a lot of stud players. We never had a first line that worried other teams.
3. The biggest letdowns to me were Stonehouse and Pinelli. Yes, I know Pinelli scored a lot of goals, but he was on the ice for a lot of goals. Stonehouse just seemed lost. I would have expected him to be a first-line player this year, but he never really stepped up into the role. I think signing with the Oilers when he did was a bad thing for Stonehouse and he may have felt that he had nothing to prove in the OHL

We are looking at a bunch of guys thwhore just playing it out and thinking that the sooner we finish, the sooner they can move up to play in the AHL.

honestly, I will be surprised if this team wins one game in the first round.

The sad thing is that this is a team that needs a rebuild. It needs some fresh legs and new YOUNG BLOOD. Forget about OA players helping or who we should trade for next season. They should be sellers, period.

There just aren't any players on this team that are going to be stars.
