I think the Nuggets are in the perfect spot right now. Memphis is blowing its proverbial load right now trying to chase down the #1 seed. You see it with teams all the time, in their first run at greatness they go all out and want that top spot badly as if it helps their chances and proves themselves. Then they run out of gas and realize home court advantage is quite fickle in the playoffs against experienced teams. The Nuggets are winning beating teams they should but not expending a ton of energy. Lots of guys are not consistent and the D effort is quite lacking for 2-3 quarters most nights. Those things change in April and beyond and its not that hard really, its effort and consistent lineups during a phase when you get normal rest and none of these 4 or 5 games in a week scheduling. Malone is using guys he knows he better not call on in the playoffs, but he's gotta be happy he can get something out of them during the grind.
