Trade the pick to a team that wants Stroud/Young. Should able to get a lot back since it’s obvious Texans is taking one them at 2.

Fields is awesome, build around him.

Oh and MPJ has 100% bought in with the team. He’s the biggest cheerleader when on the bench and then saying stuff like this?

Yeah, I gotta eat crow on that one. He has been better lately. Hope he can keep it going.

Russ started connecting on his big throws once Bosa was out of the game or not really going that hard. The line is the real issue and we'll see what they can do to fix it. Also while the starters were in there most of the game it had a kind of surreal operation.

The Broncos didn't seem to hit Herbert much, as if they were afraid of being blamed for hurting him. Since he was hardly getting touched the coaches let him stay in there until near the end. Even the one sack it looked like he gently let him down. After a few tackles Chargers players were getting into it with the Broncos players for how they got hit. Felt like a scrimmage for long stretches of play. Fun to see a win and end the season like that but I'm not going to put too much stock into it. It was however a real eye opening put down of Hackett. Even more bizarre is it seemed like Rodgers really missed him too. Just a terrible fit, next coach will be better.

Yup. Really shows how downright awful Hackett was too. I think there are a decent amount of problems roster wise, but its clear Hackett was a very good majority of the issues.
Yep I agree completely. Fact remains Rosburg was brought in because Hackett could not do some very, very basic things an NFL head coach is expected to do. I don’t even know if Jeff Saturday was as bad as he was at clock management.

Hackett is the worst coach the Broncos have ever had and it’s not even close.

I mean Hackett could be in contention for worst coach in the history of the sport.

Where are all of the Wilson haters?

Look I wasn't as gung ho about criticizing Russ as a lot of other Broncos fans but...settle down bro. It was one meaningless game against an opponent that DGAF about winning. There's light at the end of the tunnel but it's gonna be a while before we learn who the new coach is and whether or not he can get Russ on the right track.

I will say that the team as a whole looked a lot more cohesive and inspired once Hackett was shown the door, encouraging to be sure. Priority Number ONE after finding the head coach will be to get the offensive line fixed.

Sadly all most people care about are wins and losses. The debate isn't really rational and it's certainly not being had at the levels that actual league people discuss it at.

Sadly I think I have to agree. Even Jeff Saturday, as wildly unqualified as he is, was still a better head coach than Hackett.

The crazy thing to me is, the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers obviously missed Hackett this season. Would not be surprised at all if he limped back to Wisconsin and took his old job back.

Oh, I was just having some fun. As much as I hate the :sarcasm: emoji I probably should have used it. I didn’t have you in the Wilson hater group, either.

It was just one game and it was obviously a meaningless game, but I personally think the people who wanted to run Wilson out of town and were saying “he was washed up”, “the whole state of Washington was laughing at us” and “this was the worst trade in NFL history” were jumping the gun on the situation. There have been a lot of hot takes and hyperbolic opinions thrown around.

I still think it’s impossible to evaluate Wilson due to the fact Hackett was possibly “that” bad.

Well...we'll see. That was still Wilson ignoring perfectly open wide receivers and forcing passes that weren't there, it's not ALL on Hackett. If the next guy runs into the same problems, then we'll have a better (and sadder) picture. That said, we have no choice but to hope Russ figures it the hell out.

That’s all I was getting at. It’s something we don’t know yet and I, at least, don’t think it’s worth wasting the energy on until we get a competent coach. Just my 2 cents
