OT: Youth Hockey Programs in NYC

Does anyone have experience with the youth hockey programs in the city? My son is currently participating in the River Rats program at Chelsea Piers but I am not very hapy with the program and am looking for alternatives. What I am really seeking is a program with a greater sense of community and engagement, as well as more impactful teaching by the coaches. I feel too much like a walking credit card at CP.

Are there any programs in the area you would recommend? I know there are youth programs at Aviator, Abe Stark and City Ice but have no idea of their quality.
