Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well during these crazy times.

With 2020 almost behind us and a new NHL season quickly approaching, our annual Yahoo HFB TML fantasy hockey league is open once again for the upcoming 2021 season.

This will be our 7th year and is a free league open to all HFB members, old and new:

League format: H2H
Roster Positions: C, C, C, LW, LW, LW, RW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, Util, Util, G, G, IR, IR, IR+, IR+
FWD/D Scoring: Goals (G), Assists (A), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Goals (PPG), Powerplay Assists (PPA), Shorthanded Goals (SHG), Shorthanded Assists (SHA), Game-Winning Goals (GWG), Shots on Goal (SOG), Hits (HIT)
Goalie Cats: Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Saves (SV), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)
Draft: Live (Sun Jan 10, 2021 @7:00pm EST)

How active of management is required- do you have to set a daily roster from your bench and is their waiver claims?

How active of management is required- do you have to set a daily roster from your bench and is their waiver claims?

It's very low maintenance - we have no bench players that you have to annoyingly move in and out of your lineup, but yes, we have waiver claims just like any other league; players which are dropped are subject to a 2-day waiver period and any players available post-draft are subject to waiver restrictions too.

You can use the set active players option in Yahoo to automatically set your lineup for the week and probably the only time you will need to tinker is when you add/drop/trade or have injuries; pretty common for all leagues.

Question about the weight of scoring stats

Are goals/assists/hits all worth 1 point each ? Or does each stat provide a different number of points. I'm trying to find this info in the league settings but don't see it.

I.E Is a goal worth 3 points ? or 1 ? Is a hit worth 1 point, or a fraction of a point ?

This is a head-to-head category based league. Essentially, each week you face off against your opponent and who ever wins each category gets 1 point per category. Whoever wins the most categories wins the week.
This is not a points based league (at least it wasn't when I joined).
