Anyone have any information about Baruch college? or anything around those? I go to UB and have a 2.9, close to 3 GPA and am psych/business majors.

Everything and anything. I am starting to get into ,much more business and business law. doing psych and law was ******** and was brainwashing. But business and bus. law now.

I'm going into my 3rd year at UB. But want to make it out at the start of my 4th. or even 3.5th

Well Baruch is obviously well known for that. Classes are tougher than most colleges and the professors are hit or miss. Seems like there's a lot of crappy ones in the finance and accounting departments. There's three buildings on the campus. 23rd street building is like an old high school building that no one likes. The Vertical Campus is the main building that was built not too long ago. Very nice building that's built upwards as evidenced by the name. Then there's the library building. 9 floors, 4 of which are the actual library. They have a legit trading floor on the first floor that was actually used after 9/11. This building also has a computer lab and is where the financial aid and registrar offices are.

There's STARR search which is online and allows you to find and apply internships and jobs through Baruch. There's also a lot of on campus recruiting from employers.

Also, don't know if you're dorming but the Baruch dorms are more uptown IIRC. The Hunter dorms are actually only a couple of blocks away from Baruch which is weird.

My father lives in Brooklyn so I can take the N train to 23rd, or the D or some combination. Also, some people I know well from here would house me for sure. But I'm worried about my GPA. it's a 3.0 and I'm just starting to shift into the business law. Baruch and John Jay are my top 2

Yeah you could take the N or take the D to Broadway-Lafayette and transfer for the 6 there to take to 23rd. That's what I do now except with the B. My GPA is around 3.0 right now but I'm not sure what you need for transfers. I know to get in out of high school they required a 1200 math + reading SAT score and a 90+ average. Don't know what the requirements are now.

I have taken science classes and all general ed. and math. I'm looking and it seems like I have a shot but I really do want to see if I can get in. If they chose to read my high school stuff, I had a 3.85 GPA and demolished the standard tests and did above average on the SATs. But I've takeb over 30 credits in college already. I suck at certain maths but others I'm good at.

I also just miss my home so bad and realize that it was a mistake pulling out from it. But my education seems like it can be much more enriched back there too.

You also have to see how many of your credits transfer over. I know Baruch and Hunter are a pain in the ass about transfering credits from other schools. Also, for basically every business major you have to take pre-cal and calculus.

That feel when NYRFAN and I were going into college around the time I started posting, and now we're about to graduate.

did pre cal and need to do cal still but i have no room for it in any of my schedules. I need to take it immediately but I know that already. I'm trying to gather as much info as I can because This is a serious interest. would appreciate if we keep talking about it. But I'm really desiring to start getting into business law much more than anything else. Business as a minor or double major.

Baruch doesn't allow double majors for the business school so that's out right there. Here's the common core that every student needs.

http://zicklin.baruch.cuny.edu/programs/undergrad/core.html

You can click around and it gives you the business core along with the majors they offer and what you need credits wise for each major. For some reason, I'm not seeing the calculus class I needed to take listed so it was probably a pre requisite for one of the business classes that's needed.

Hmm... I have my year of German with an A. I did my Chemistry sequence and passed w/ a C+... I've done my writing and half of cal/precal. I THINK I got college credits from HS in an economics class. But I'd take it again...

It all depends what you're majoring in. It says on the common core you only need one economics but for me, I had to take both ECO 1001 and 1002 for my finance major and economics minor. Also, if you took the language regent and passed in HS then you don't need to take the language. Just a thought if for whatever reason the language doesn't transfer which I don't see why it wouldn't.

I had to do regents and NJ standard tests because either state decided to **** me. But I did very well in my language.

But I'm reading and since I really want to gear to law sides more, I think they'll probably want more politics and government law stuff.

Girl coming to a hockey scrimmage with me. Uh oh.
