OT: Stamkos breaks leg

Very unfortunate, that looked terrible. Wish him the best.

But where do you get out for the year? Most likely a few months.

i haven't heard anything about a year, but this is certainly serious. best recovery to him.

on a lighter note, my fantasy team is totally screwed.

Really sucks. Looks like the kid was in a lot of pain, just terrible. My middle son is still recovering from the exact same injury (he broke it 3 months ago).

Yea, he knew right away it was really bad, but tried to get up and just couldn't. Must be very painful especially for your son, who I'm assuming is very young.

When I was 15, I broke my clavicle and it was a millimeter shy of breaking out of the skin, it was the most painful injury I ever experienced. I teared my MCL playing football about 2 years ago and it wasn't really painful at all, just couldn't really walk.

I hate injuries, especially to the elite players . Stamkos is such an amazing player, what a shame. Love to watch him play. I wish him a speedy recovery.

I go to Tampa and visit family and always try and catch a Bolts game. I really enjoy the arena and its a fun time. They are a young team with tons of talent.. A smart owner who knows how to secure funds and refurb the arena, a smart GM who knows what he is doing.

All and all the Lightning are like the Islanders but competently run!!

It can be a long recovery. I broke my tibia (in multiple places) years ago in October, a surgery later, and a few months (4-5 if I recall) and I was able to run/play hockey on it. Took longer until I was completely healed (getting banged there still hurt badly). Hopefully your son is better soon!

Looks like Tampa Bay could really use the "creativity" of Bouchard!!! Yeah and we should be pretty anxious about taking that extra bag of pucks they have over there for him.

Well you figure the average Recoup time from a Broken leg. I think its between 3 and 5 months. So i would guess 4 Months he is out for.
So he could be back lets say late march. Maybe get a month and a half of hockey in.

They should give us their 1st, 2nd and Hedman for Vanek, Bouchard and Pedan
