Thought he was horrible on MSG/NBC. So im not that disappointed to see him go.

He is one of the greatest minds in hockey. Traded the aging Denis Savard for a young Chelios, which people thought was crazy at the time. Traded Shanny for Pronger, which people regarded as nuts.

He understands talent, and does unconventional things that wind up working out beyond all expectations.

I dont think he ever was. I certainly dont think he is now.

Thank God. Forget all the bridges he burned and yet somehow secured an MSG job, the man was a TERRIBLE analyst.

I don't think he could get through one sentence without his words crashing into each other.

And then traded a 27 year old Roberto Luongo for washed up Todd Bertuzzi, who played all of 7 games for Florida.

The game has long since passed Keenan by.

Players make too much money these days to put up with guys like Keenan.

If you make more than a dollar per hour that is too much money to put up with Keenan. He is a world class sc-mbag. I know a person personally that he really screwed over for no reason, thankfully the guy has a great gig in the NHL now. He is a slime.

Don't let the door hit you....

Agree wholeheartedly. Good riddance to "Psycho Mike" who was engineering his exit from the 94 team 3 months before the season ended and who almost singlehandedly alienated everyone on the team when he benched Leetch in the playoffs. We won the cup despite him!

To me, Keenan is like Barry Melrose, aka Mr. "I did this back in 1993 so you should listen to what I'm saying". Now, I wasn't born yet when they won the Cup, so I can't fully appreciate what he did, but from all the video I've seen from that season and all the stories I've heard, I think he was a bigger ******* than Torts. Imagine if this website was around back then?

 Does he even speak Russian? Can you coach efficiently using translators? Or do the players all speak English these days?

He'll be coaching a roster that's mainly Russian, but maybe one-quarter non-Russian. I look at Metallurg's roster from this season and see a couple Canadians, a few Finns, Zuccarello from Norway. They might go more North American with Iron Mike at the helm.

No one would have complained because the Rangers were the best team in the league and their powerplay was #1 in the league too. Ahh, those were the days. However, the Keenan leaving scandal would have been something to behold on HF. Plus, I don't recall Keenan really being a jerk to the media like Torts can be at times.

Wow, thank God. His analysis on postgame shows makes me mute the TV.

Good Riddance!!! The man's a rat. We'll see how long he lasts in Russia. And until he comes crawling back to the NA hockey scene, I might actually leave the game on between periods instead of switching channels the moment the camera turns to him.
