For fellow habs fans,

I'm going to the game tonight.

What's the best way to go to the Bell Center? Car or subway and is it a lot of trouble to go by car?

Thanks!

Go habs Go! :yo:

It'S relatively easy to get to by car, but of course there will be traffic. And parking gets expensive... I'd go by metro if you can, it's just easier.

Then again, if you're a group metro gets more expensive then parking...

Id go there by metro if I were you. Either go to lucien-lallier or go to mcgill and walk along sts-cath then down to the bell centre for a more touristic approach.

Traffic isn't that bad after games. There's a lot less traffic if you park on the side of the street than if you park in an underground lot.

Best place to park is Rene-Levesque and Cathedrale. There's a parking meter that you can only park at after 6 or 630. Pay for parking until 9 o'clock and you're good.

I always go to the games by metro, just easier. The only problem might be waiting for a bus home after the game.

Not sure how close you are to the auto park in Brossard, since your profile says your in longueuil, but what you could do is park your car at the auto park which is free, take the 45 straight next to the bell centre, the bus comes every 10min both ways and is a 10-15 min ride.

Every time I go to a game, I usually take the car and park near the Bell Centre on rue Saint-Jacques. Just pay parking for 3-4 hours and you're set. There always seems to be parking available there, but I also go about an hour and a half or so before the game starts.

Im guessing your not within walking distance. In the 2 games I went to, we stayed at our hotel and took a 10 min walk up the street to the Bell Centre, easy peasy. However, the other time I went I got dropped off an hour and a half before the game across the street, so a taxi could be possible. However going home that night I took the metro, much much easier. Just get off at Lucien Lallier. Pretty simple if your on the orange line.

Car, and park in parkings relatively further away from the Bell Center, that way you can walk to it after the game, skip the traffic and still be in the comfort of your car instead of taking the metro with 10000 people.

The rule is avoid the metro at all times.

the 1 times this year i decided to use the metro it stalled and i never got to my destination.

ppl complain about traffic... i rather sit in my car and listen to marinaro than sit in a stuffy human stinky kart.

subway>car

unless you have someone to drop you off.

but i dont like to drive in the city so its my 2 cents.
