OT: CF Montréal: Potato Edition

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

We keep the Potato's title please.

The real HFIMFC members knows the meaning of Potato.

It's a little throwback to these old funny moments in our board. La Familia of HFIMFC. I miss that a lot!

I like Alvarez, but I don't see how he survives as a starter with Neal and this guy in the mix.

Actually, he might be our best CB now.

Starter on a top side from Ligue 2. Seems like a solid grab.

Yeah, if I'm Alvarez, I'm starting to sweat. He's still super young though, I can't see the team just sitting him all season.

He's been thrown around in rumors since last Summer. He won't spend the year here.

There's Brendan Craig, 20yo, at the training camp who was released by Philly. He played quite a bit in the USL on loan last season. He could be a depth asset like Jabang

We could have another title though. La Familia sounds good enough with the Saputo Juniors around (and maybe even one guy on the field)

Clark's transfert value will increase! As we're a seller team.

When our players play for Team USA it shows that we've great american players in our pipeline. It's not easy to play for Team USA. It's a pride to have our players play for Team USA.

I guess that's his biggest issue, he's so naturally talented, I don't think he was challenged until he reached MLS.

I saw in a La Presse article that some fans at Marseille caught De Zerbi yelling at Koné a few days ago during a training session. Might be what Nancy is talking about.

He has some mental issues. He's not far away from Balou to some extent

Choiniere is another guy that's trending down

Apparently Pau FC didn't think our project was going to generate enough value for the player on the market. The Jrs are having a hard time selling the CF Montreal to Bologna dream. Apparently same thing happened with a young chilean GK.

According to @encanchacl , UC rejects Bologna's offer for Thomas Gillier: 1 million euros. They decided to keep him until June, after which his contract will expire. Bologna wanted to send him to MLS ( #CFMTL ) to develop him.

Thomas Gillier will remain #LosCruzados 's goalkeeper, at least until mid-year. UC rejected Bologna's offer for sporting reasons and the player understood this. I'll give you more information in a bit on En Cancha.

For those who say we are a club formateur, this is why we are not. We are a club saving money.
