Crap. Get well soon man.
Thankfully it's not any worse than a head cold/general bug with some congestion, some head pressure/ache, and lack of energy.

I'm more worried about getting Nate from school on Tuesday and our Thanksgiving plans because we invited friends over and one is immunocompromised. Our friends were really emotional when we asked them about their Thanksgiving plans because it's just been them and their two teenage kids the past 4 years. So, it will really suck if we can't have them over.

He looks like hell. Jay’s not having a good year. Burned working on his cars, had to take control over his wife’s decision making, now this. I met him and got a picture of the two of us after a show he did at Melody Fair years ago. He is super nice, extremely friendly, and funny as shit even when he’s not doing his routine. I hope he heals up and considers that maybe it’s time to stop the road shows and stick to the garage.

Shoulda got one game in
My daughter called me tonight, which I found a bit odd as she never does that, and was excited. She was accepted to one of the universities she applied to for forensic science, and was offered a $2000 a year scholarship for it. She’s hoping for a different one to accept her, but considering she just applied to this one on Thursday of last week, it was awesome news.

I was thankful for having my youngest two kids and my dad join us for a brunch yesterday and there was zero ugly political talk.

The kids joked that the political ugliness was going to happen later at their mom's parent's house when my eldest would likely try to start arguing with my middle kid about politics.

Nate made a really good breakfast casserole and people liked the french toast (croissant bread is a french toast cheat code IMO) and the Trader Joe's Cinnamon Roll pancakes that I made.

I'm thankful that my children came to my place for dinner on Wednesday and we had a great time.

I'm thankful that my dogs are both healthy.

I'm thankful it's cool enough to not have to run the AC all day.

So for the first time in years, my city is shut down. We got a foot of snow on Wednesday, and overnight we got an additional two feet of snow. By Sunday morning, we’re supposed to get another 2-4 feet of it.

I have a friend in Ontario who posted the lake effect predictions and that tracks with the forecast.

My daughter came home from Liberty, did wash, and commenced sleeping. They are done with games until after Christmas.

Thankfully, my son did not have a tournament this weekend and we're home all weekend. Very, very nice for a change.

My eldest brought his laundry over the other night while we were having our family get together. He also brought his roommate who is one of the favorite people in the world for our dogs.

Similar experience. My mom and niece came over (they are both NY transplants in SC). My mom made a lot of the food, and my niece, who is a vet tech, played with my dog.

I'll take all that over traveling to play yesterday!
