P.S.

I expect Kane to score a bunch of points tomorrow against the Czechs. Then everyone can say, "He scored a ton of points at the World Cup in 2016!"

Wait for it, tomorrow.

Wow, OP really likes to appeal to authority.

And is OP stating that Kane can't carry a team in general, or that Kane performs below expectations at the international level? If it's the former than ouch.

He does really well when he can rely on Toews and Seabrook and Keith and <fill in the blank> to do all the tough work and he can fluff around. And he's great at it. But, whenever he is asked to be "Da Man", he fails.

Canada

He is a PPG player in international play...?

In the last two Olympics, Kane has one less point than SIDNEY CROSBY, and has played in one less game....

Nobody is really "the man" in international play, because you're playing the best of the best of the best. It is very much about building the deepest team. Not a single player dominates the international stage.

Facts are intimidating, I know.

Canada had some rough tournaments until the light came on with their stars that wins matter over pts. Syd has more than one Gold Medal more than Kane. The difference between Canada and the other teams is they have some very talented stars that are team first. ie: 6,8,16&87.

Everyone knows the U.S. runs up the score against the weak teams. "Oh look, we beat North Korea 10-1!" Then the geniuses as HF put them atop of the Power Rankings. Then they play a stronger team and all the point getters disappear.

Look at Soshi. No points against Canada and Finland, a million against the weak teams.

As do all the top teams... Point of your thread is pretty clear. Not sure why you returned to HF to post this drivel.

To sum it up for everyone that doesn't feel like reading:

"Canada rules, USA sucks"

Yea I agree, the agenda is pretty clear

Anyway, boys. I haven't been here in almost a year and I wanted to come in, make my opinions known, post my movie reviews(!) and say hi to a few old friends. I've done that and will be gone by the weekend so Good Luck To Canada!!!!

Kessel and Ryan should have kept the lid on the rye bottle... They can can reek it up like no ones business as well. Ryan is too lazy for this intense pace hockey. He would be shutting er' down around xmas time.
USA will work on it, but that looked really bad.

As team USA top scorer, he has not scored a goal since 2010. He's on this team to do one thing, score goals, which he has failed to do now for a second straight tourney [ 6 games]. Whether you you want to admit it or not, he is on this team to be the man, and people expect him to at least score.

The same goes for Parise. 1 goal and a total of 1 point since 2010.
