Scoring his second goal of the season, Devon Toews gave the Avs a 2-1 lead at 16:37 of middle frame with a shot from the left doorstep. At 7:22 of the third, Mittelstadt deflected Manson’s right-point shot for his eighth goal of the season. With the Jets pushing to tie the game, Mikko Rantanen tallied his 21st goal of the season with an empty-net goal at 18:31.
