I am aware of most but theres always one that I miss due to poor advertising of it.
The one you speak of is run by Midnight Hockey or Island Ice Hockey.
A league run by people who dc about hockey or know much about it. The league they run is okay but only because there is not much competition. They cant even hire a ref or work with refs to ensure the refs know they are officiating a Championship game.
They have Open Hockey commonly throughout the year but usually at Syosset Ice Works. However its not that good. Sure anytime you can get on the ice its fun. But its $25.00 for a small rink. Thats 5 bucks more than average open hockey and 5 more bucks then when they have open hockey in dix hills on friday night at 12. Its usually packed so I dont go but I use to a lot when it was $20.00. I told them years ago to set up some sort of package deals or college deals that would bring more people down. They finally did it, but you only save $5.00 if you buy an 8 pack or 10 pack lol.
The league is pretty much of a joke but its all we got mostly.
