I don't get the criticism of our D corps on the defensive side of the game - especially Schmidt. 2 goals came of odd-man rushes where the Dmen always are in a bad spot in such a situation due to the missing backchecking forwards. Another one of a crazy bounce where Bob completely lost orientation, and a PPG that can always happen.

VAN took the playback from Seattle and just played very solid defensively. Our forwards were pretty weak in this game, especially the Lundell line.

Where we are definitely weaker than before is the offensive side of our D. But throwing them all under the bus after a game where our forwards did not manage to score? Come on.

I agree, it's not like we were bleeding tons of high danger chances all night. Vancouver only managed 17 shots.

Just wasn't our night, we didn't get the bounces and the requisite intensity wasn't there.

When our puck luck is dry we don't really change our strategy.. last night we did the same thing over and over... Our d core is a bit rough.. we need another damn that can bring the 5 on 5 versatility that montour brought. Puck moving, solid speed.. solid shot threat, and a lil mean/pest..

I'm sure zito is aware.
