Speculation: One week until the deadline, who gets moved?

Who all will the Ducks trade before the deadline?

Ben Hutton. Maybe Heinen if we retain and a team can afford to take on half his salary. That’s it.

I really like how Manson is playing. We are light years better with him back there. I could see a contender falling in love with what he brings to the table and offer a sizable futures package.

I believe there is a chance Steel is swapped for a under performing young center in a change of scenery trade for both teams.
I think we've seen what Steel gonna become, a faceoff specialist who tops out at 20 to 25 points in 82 games playing on a 4th line or 3rd line when he's needed to fill in for someone.

I voted for Silfverberg, Heinen, Larsson and Hutton. Bob isn't going to do a full rebuild but I expect that at least one core player is moved and I kinda hope it's Silfverberg. Might be wishful thinking though and I suspect the Ducks would have to retain some salary, which I am fine with if the return is good. Heinen, Larsson, Hutton are not going to bring back anything exciting. Good thing that it seems like a seller's market based on the amount of teams still fighting for playoff spots so they might get like 5th rounders for these guys.

Whoever we move, I doubt Bargain Bob can get much, even for our "core" players looking at the way they've been performing in the last two years...

Larsson and Deslauriers.

If the question who I think the Ducks would try to trade, I'd answer differently. In terms of actual trades? I think a lot of teams will look for some reserve D and a 4th-line energy guy.

Whatever explosion of the core that may be happen to the Ducks will happen in the summer, I think.

Heinen and Hutton.

Hawk has some good rental trade value, but I think Bob wants to keep him and sign him to an extension after the Expansion draft.

Could always trade him and then sign him in the summer, like they did with Grant.

All the expiring contracts should go (Miller/Getz if willing). A decision needs to be made between Hakanpaa and Manson IMO. I don't think Drysdale is going to play LD long term so there is only 1 open RD spot next year. I think if you can get a 1st+ the play is to move Manson. The injuries are piling up and as great as he's been recently there's been a lot more bad than good the past 3 years with him.

I'm gonna go ahead and predict nobody.

The problem is the flat cap and COVID related loss of income around the league, meaning that the owners really don't like to spend as much as usually. The taxi squad system also means that most teams have serviceable depth guys already.

Yup, wouldn't be surprised if this one would turn out to be not as busy. It has been hard managing the budget and teams for everyone as is, so there could be less interest. But well, what do I know, will be interesting to see.

I’d be floored if Manson were moved. And honestly it would have to be a great value deal for the Ducks. He is a difference maker when he’s in the lineup.

Hutton is the most obvious name and the only one I voted for.

Too many variables with the others. Miller likely won’t waive even though I want him to get one last shot at a Cup. Heinen is a change of scenery candidate, but I don’t see it unless the team he’s traded to is also sending back someone who is retained. Hakanpaa appears to be more extension candidate than trade candidate (though if the offer is a late 2 or a 3rd, I think Bob should jump on it). Silf/Rico/Shattenkirk contracts are all immovable. And Rakell and Manson seem more like offseason trades than midseason trades

heinen for sure. i think hakanpaa gets moved and i hope miller gets dealt to a contender for a chance to win a cup

wouldn't surprise me if steel is moved either

I actually kind of think Hutton doesn't go anywhere, I have some doubts on how much teams even like him. Maybe if he ends up on waivers, clears and then can be put on a teams taxi squad. And I kind of think Hakanpaa does go, I'm not sure why a team like Tampa isn't all over that one. I also think Heinen might end up staying because of his contract but maybe Vancouver doubles back there.

I think we might be somewhat busy, Rakell and Manson both seem like there's a decent enough chance they go and I definitely think Bob adds someone.

Voted Heinen, Hutton, and Hakanpaa.

My darkhorse trade candidate is Henrique. I think the Islanders could make sense. He's a versatile, goal-scoring LW who could *kinda* fill in for Lee. There's history with Lou Lamoriello. Anaheim could also likely take back Ladd. The two players have roughly the same cap hit, though Ladd's contract is one year shorter and has a declining salary.
