I won't hear the phrase "taxi squad". I keep hearing this a lot on TSN. I don't understand how anyone came up with it. It has nothing to do with a taxi. Why can't people just call it a team roster reserve, or something like that?

I can deal with the real world. I'm just talking about a little thing that annoys me. Believe me, I have dealt with much larger issues. I'm glad I am not the only one who thinks this term is odd.

They wanted to put McCabe on the roster but couldn't because there were vets ahead of him. So the taxi squad was invented.
