I couldn't believe my eyes watching the game today. Aki Berg looked like a world beater out there.....Teppo Numminen looked like a tank...Niklas Hagman was an all-star.....where is all this in the NHL?

Numminen has always been good. In the NHL too. Berg is enjoying playing in his current role, and the team defense is working so well, he does not have to stop the world alone, he just needs to do his part, and he can do that. Finland is a very well organized team.

Hagman is in a small role, and has he not been a fast defensive forechecker in the NHL too? He has hands of stone, but he makes up for it by playing good two way hockey. Just dont expect him to score.

Everyone is using their tools, their special skills, and that is why their roles are working. First line is scoring goals, second line is at least trying to do so, and the rest are trying to avoid getting scored on and maybe chip in a few if possible. On defense, they help eachother out, so the Bergs and Nummelins dont need to do it all by themselves.
